Saudi
Arabia and the US are partners in a long and unique
relationship. Lately, the relationship has faced
a number of challenges, both from inside and outside
the respective partners. Of particular concern
is the way in which Saudi Arabia is portrayed
in the western media. The portrait painted of
the Kingdom is often not a favorable one.
What can be done to adjust the image of Saudi
Arabia to be more honest and positive? What approaches
promise the best results? What facets of life
in the Kingdom should be emphasized? What programs
can best facilitate better understanding between
the two cultures?
This topic is of critical importance to the two
countries, the Gulf region and the world.
